Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet today writes that unemployment is going down in Latvia.
During the last quarter of 2010 it came down to 16.9 percent, compared to 18 percent the previous quarter. And more dramatically down from the record level of 20.4 percent in early 2010. All according to figures from the Latvian Statistical Bureau.
People in search of a job in Latvia has fallen from more than 210 000 to around 194 000.
The Swedish newspaper writes about the deep recession in 2009 but also notes that the economic growth during the last quarter of 2010 was 3.7 percent.
